In the middle of August our performer was an amazing orchestra from Wintherthur, Switzerland.
Their first stop was at West-Balaton. In the afternoon the 35 young Swiss musicians gave a wonderful classical concert to the impassioned audience of Keszthely in the Helikon Palace.
The Jugendsinfonieorchesters’ second concert was in the prestigious Hungarian National Museum. This museum is the largest in Hungary, in the past, various artists have performed here, including Ferenc Liszt. Also the famous scenes from the movie Evita, starring Madonna were filmed on the steps of this beautiful neo-classical building.
During the concert the audience was more than enthusiastic, they lived together with the music. The sound of the marimba solo, together with the symphonic orchestra was a quite special and new experience for the Hungarian audience. The crowd clapped until their hands were sore!
After these overwhelming successes, they had couple of hours to see Budapest. We organised them an excellent German speaking tour guide, who told them interesting stories about Budapest.
The own words of the conductor:
„We are back in Switzerland, have slept through Saturday and Sunday and are ready to tackle the next challenge…
We had another amazing tour with beautiful concerts and touching encounters.
We had a beautiful ambiance in the OpenAir concert in Készthely and amazingly much audience in Budapest. Well done!
Thank you very much for all the enthusiastic effort, for your patience and all your help.
The orchestra enjoyed the tour very much and will remember it as another highlight in their personal musical careers.”
For us, it was a pleasure to work together with these kind people, and at the end of the tour we said: „auf Wiedersehen” what means word by word: see eachother again! We hope we will!
